CHARACTERS:
Tom
Sawyer:
Tom is a mischievous and adventurous boy. He has an active
imagination, and gets into trouble a lot. He is a born leader and very
stubborn. Throughout the book he goes through many adventures that change him.
Huckleberry
Finn:
Huck is the son of the town drunk and a wild child. He does
not go to school, church, or any other social event. He can't read. He is loved
by children and feared by adults because he doesn't obey rules. He is less
imaginative or fanciful than Tom, but more practical. He and Tom witness Injun
Joe murder Dr. Robinson and eventually find his treasure.
Indian
joe.
The villain of the book. He is half-breed and an evil and
hateful criminal, who steals and murders without thinking. He kills Dr.
Robinson and would have injured the Widow Douglas if Huck hadn't come to his
aid.
Dr
robinson.
A young doctor who steals corpses from graves, until he is
killed one night by Injun Joe.
Muff
Potter.
A poor city drunk, Potter is a good man who was framed for
Injun Joe's murder of Dr. Robinson.
